Jahangir Khan

Product Information

Mohammed Jahangir Khan (India)

2 pp, ALS, Dated 15 September 1932 to George Brooking.  Interesting letter from a youthful Khan, written at the end of the 1932 Indian tour.  Still preserved in the original envelope.

Dr Mohammed Jahangir Khan played for Cambridge University in the thirties and was in the Indian team for both the 1932 and 1936 tours.  He is perhaps more famous for bowling the ball that killed a sparrow at Lord's - still on view in the museum - and for being the uncle of Javed Burki and Imran Kahn and father of M J Khan.
